Southern Granite is a family owned business located in Hermanus in the Western Cape.
Since its humble start in 2006 the company has grown to a major player in the field by utilising top of the range technology. We are able to do any advanced techniques like mitering, resessed draining boads with draining grooves, underslung basin cut outs and more.
We specialize in the manufacturing and installation of quality Granite, Marble and Engineered Stone products for kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, outdoor areas etc.

Piet Luttig:
Piet was involved in the financial sector for many years before he decided to relocate to the USA in 2004, where he managed a Granite installation company. This gained him valuable experience of the Global Granite industry and in utilising the correct tools for the job and the correct way of installing and finishing jobs.
In 2006 he decided to move back to South Africa to start his own granite manufacturing and installation company.
He is mainly involved in managing the company and also oversees the manufacturing of products to be installed.
Pieter Luttig:
Pieter, son of Piet, was a quality inspector of fruit earmarked for the export market before he decided to join his father in 2006 While studying towards his Agricultural Diploma he had a six months holiday period during which he did granite installations in the USA . This gave him the necessary experience and knowledge of the industry. When the opportunity arose in 2006 he decided to join his father in the business. He is mainly involved in the installation of finished products but also keeps an eye on the manufacturing side with his father.
